This is simple math folks. (1) 1/8 = 0.125. 6/8 = 0.75. 3 1/8 or 3.125 divided by 6 6/8 or 6.75 = 46%. Stated another way 46% of 6 6/8 = 3 1/8. (2) 8 1/2% or 8.5% of x = 60. 8.5% = 0.085. Thus 0.085 times x = 60. Divide both sides of the equation by 0.085 and you get x = 60 divided by 0.085 or x = 706. Stated another way 8.5% of 706 = 60. (3) 24 3/4% or 24.75% ox x = 297 is solved the same way. The equation is 0.2475 times x = 297. Divide both sides of the equation by 0.2475 and you get x = 297 divided by 0.2475 or x = 1,200. Stated another way 24.75% of 1,200 = 297.
