My parents had "Siempre" (always) engraved in theirs along with the date of their wedding. What did you have engraved - or plan to have engraved?

"Most of all" because my husband and I always "compete" saying we love each other most of all.....the first person who says it in the morning gets it for the rest of the day. It's cheesy but we get a laugh every morning out of it.
My father-in-law highly suggested getting the dates engagraved b/c there would come a day when you can't exactly remember and he said "it'll save your butt!" :) ha ha!

My fiance and I are having the word "Imzadi" engraved on our rings. It's a word that means - the first person who touched your soul - a true love, it's also a term of endearment, and much more.
We're also putting the dates of our wedding and first date. They both have "07" in it, so we're going to combine them.
10-01-07 (wedding)
07-04-90 (date)
10-01-07-04-90 (in a circle with the word "Imzadi" between the ends will hopefully look nice.)

What a wonderful question! I am getting ready to purchase my fiances wedding band and haven't decided what I want the inside to say yet. I'm hoping to get some ideas from your question. I love the "Siempre"!!

This is the first thing that I thought of, and when I saw your user name, I just HAD to share my thought. I was in London last week, and in the gift shop of Shakespeare's Globe Theater was a replica of a piece of jewelry called the "rose ring". When they were excavating the Rose Theater, they found a ring with an inscription in Old French. It's inscribed, "PENCES POUR MOYE DV," which is "Think of me, God willing." If you're both the literary type, the romantic type, or the history-loving type, you might want to use this inscription for your wedding rings :) You can see the replica rings in the Globe Theater gift shop online (http://www.globe-shop.com/prodlist.asp?cat=2). Good luck!

My dad had simply "I love you" engraved on my mom's wedding band. They've been married for 32 years, and the engraving is almost worn off. It's so beautiful :)

Nothing. I inherited my ring from my mother, and she didn't have anything engraved. Neither did my grandma. I guess it runs in the family. You don't need engraving to know what it means.

We don't have our rings engraved. We didn't get huge, extravagant rings, either. It's not about the ring, the dress, or the wedding - it's about the relationship.
