I don't blame you for wanting to try a natural supplement in lieu of a prescription drug for high cholesterol. I'm opposed to statin drugs used to lower cholesterol, since they have so many side effects. Try no-flush niacin, policosinol or Cholest, which can be found in your neighborhood pharmacy or health food store. These supplements take a little longer than the drugs, but have been proven to lower cholesterol. I'm a bit confused by the number you've posted. Are you certain that's the reading your doctor gave you? High cholesterol is generally in the 200-250 range or higher. I've never heard of a 8. reading.

not sure what you mean high blood pressure of 8? that is not a number used for blood pressure measuring. anything over 140/90 would be concidered high. if you are doing all the right things, diet exercise, stress management, no smoking then meds might be needed. i would not put it off to long to get it under control. the longer it is high the more damage it is doing to your cardio vascular system.

8 is not a real number. a high cholesterol number would be great than 200.
