The great American poet, Ogden Nash, said it best.

Develops the jaw.
While Celery stewed
Is more quietly chewed.

What are Living and Raw Foods?
Raw and Living Foods are foods that contain enzymes. In general, the act of heating food over 116 degrees F destroys enzymes in food. (Enzymes start to degrade in as little as 106 degrees F). All cooked food is devoid of enzymes, furthermore cooking food changes the molecular structure of the food and renders it toxic. Living and raw foods also have enormously higher nutrient values than the foods that have been cooked.
Yes, I am a rawfoodist for a few years now.
Pros - Superior well-being. Raised consciousness. This diet is a lifestyle.
Cons - Overcoming food and chemical addiction that we are unconscious to in the beginning of this transition from cooked to raw. This diet is a lifestyle.
There are raw herbal supplements that speed up the regeneration process so the transition can be quicker and less stressful. Contact if your interested to know what concentrated raw nutrition can do for you. Accept incoming messages in your profile if you haven't done so already if you interested. Have a nice day!

The way I understand it, it is basically eating foods that are as close to how the earth made them as possible. Without the preservatives, pesticides, etc.
I have only seen a bit on TV about it, though there is a cafe in town here, called "the raw deal", that is all healthy stuff, it's run by the local co-op. From what I have observed, it is all vegan, organic, etc.
Looks interesting, expensive though.

Raw foodism is a movement promoting the consumption of uncooked, unprocessed, and often organic foods, as a large percentage of the diet. A raw food diet consists fully of foods which have not been heated above a certain temperature. The maximum temperature varies among the different forms of the diet, from 92ºF to 118°F (33°C to 48°C). Raw food diets may include a selectıon of raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds (including whole grains), eggs, fish, meat and unpasteurized dairy products (such as raw milk, cheese and yogurt).
A raw foodist is a person who consumes primarily raw food, or all raw food, depending on how strict the person is. Raw foodists typically believe that the greater the percentage of raw food in the diet, the greater the health benefits. They generally believe raw food prevents and/or heals many forms of sickness and many chronic diseases. Freezing food is considered acceptable by many raw foodists; some choose to preserve nuts and seeds in a freezer.
See the link for a fairly comprehensive list of what you can and cannot eat.
I've never tried it.
CONS
Criticism
Raw food diets have been criticized in the mainstream medical community as being too harsh and restrictive. Critics of the raw vegan diet argue that it requires special care to include the recommended amounts of several important vitamins and nutrients, including vitamin B-12 and protein.[citation needed] They say that any restrictive diet can lead to nutritional deficiency, if adopted for an extended period of time without special attention to essential nutrients.[citation needed]
Additionally, critics argue that any benefits of a raw food diet lie not in the inclusion of raw products, but instead the inevitable replacement of unhealthy, processed products (hamburgers, Oreos, Twinkies) with fruits, vegetables and whole grains. The foods that comprise a raw foods diet would be equally nutritional if the food were consumed raw or cooked.
Research advocating raw food diets has been criticized as not meeting scientific standards.[citation needed]
Research has suggested that food proteins are rarely utilized in their natural form since they are broken down into base amino acids during the digestion process. The body then synthesizes required proteins from these amino acids.[citation needed]
The structure of some foods makes it difficult to utilize available nutrients without cooking. This includes the lycopene in tomatoes, beta carotene in carrots,[19] and much of the caloric content of starchy foods such as corn, potatoes, manioc, palm, and casava.
Advocates argue that nonhumans (who obviously do not cook their food) do not exhibit degenerative diseases and therefore, if humans refrained from cooking their food, they wouldn't contract these diseases either.[citation needed] However, animals in the wild have been shown to suffer from arthritis,[20] cancer,[21] liver and kidney diseases,[22]and degenerative brain diseases.[23]

Basically, it is a vegetarian diet, where you only eat vegetables that are not cooked. Cooking vegetables takes a lot of nutrients out. You also don't eat root vegetables. That destroys the plant. You only eat plant parts that regenerate. It is supposed to be really healthy!
