Normal range of urea varies from lab to lab, so the standard set by them hold good, here is an example:
Normal blood urea is 3.5-6.5 mmol/litre (20-30mg/dl) .... (Many labs use grams/decilitre, g/dl, for which normal values are 11-18 rather than 110-180).
Whenever you write lab values please don't forget to mention g/mg/dl or mmol/litre. Any way be happy an enjoy life!!!!!

If you mean the blood urea nitrogen level, which I think you do, the normal reference range is 6-20.

If your level is 27, that is an elevation, although not an alarming one. Reasons for elevation in BUN include dehydration and kidney function decline. It is important to correlate the BUN with creatinine to determine which is the case.

Even if the cause is impaired kidney function, at this level, it usually only means careful monitoring to prevent further loss.
