Einstein: "Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding".
Plato: "no ordinance or law is mightier than understanding".
Solomon: "with all thy getting, get understanding" = grace.
Apostle Paul: The grace of our Lord JC with you all. Amen.

Perhaps req'd compassion is as pity.
Understanding is above compassion.
Charity is above forgiving one another.
Grace is above law imputing sin(death).
For law imputed sin brings death to all.
"Heaven": is "higher than the heavens".
Peace isn't grace of law -vs- grace.
Peace is pure grace void of law law.

Albert Einstein, on what exists:
Cold does not exist. Only hot does.
Darkness doesn't exist. Light does.
Evil doesn't exist. God(Good) does.
http://www.godshew.org/OneLiners.htm#Einstein
Point: Law doesn't exist. Grace does.
Law is a temporary absence of Grace.
Darkness is a temp absence of Light.
His Grace can't lie(law) nor die(law).
Mortal Law Law notably does both.

Reason and understanding is more peaceful than faith.
Grace is talked about a lot by religious people, but their religion really promotes the opposite of grace.

you are probably a nice searching kind of guy/gal...
however, quoting various worldviews (e.g. plato and shlomo) reveals that your understanding is as convoluted as your question.
Yeshua did not come to do away with Torah, Matt 5:17...
so if your question is supposed to be biblically based, it is off-base from Yeshua's stand to begin with.
He was the Torah, John 1:1,2 and as the serpent in the desert was held up, so ben adam/ben Elohim was also.
Grace (hanan or xaris) is not something that stands alone as your question would frame it.
anti-nominism is simply bereft of balance. and that according to scripture is an abomination.
One is not saved by the convenant of Moshe, but if resurrected Torah is not obeyed... you can have all the "greasy grace" in the world and still end up without...
I pray you can get some of the 'understanding' you tout.

I agree with those guys. Peace will only come with understanding for only in understanding will all people become law abiding. Indeed if all people were to understand and accept all people we could very well live in peace without laws.

I was raised in a very strict law abiding religion...and it was only by coming to understand God and Grace that I came to find peace.
I could go into detail...but it's really just that simple.

understanding. blind faith can be dangerous and is really the cause of many deaths throughout history. people who confuse this fall prey to what they hope is true iner peace and thus are easily lured into anything the one they follow says. understanding is the only way we can make a choice and take true meaning to what we beleive.

I'm not sure if understanding alone will do it. Perhaps compassion must play a part too.

law is still necessary for those who reject God and prefer to hurt others.....
jesus freed us from the oral traditions ( rabbinic oral law)..he did not excuse us from the original 10 commandments....
hopefully, with grace, people will realize that they can be obedient to the law. without being in bondage to it.

it is more difficult for peace to thrive if it'll remain a philosophy. faith is needed.
