Thyme tea, not the most delicious, but it gets rid of the tickle. you can add some linden flowers (tilia) for flavour. avoid mint.
works for your head, lungs and throat. Honey is NOT helpful. Sugar in any way is not. Hot liquid and thyme. So, thyme tea.
Acids like lemon and orange have a lightly disinfectant effect, but thyme does too, so if you don't like sour, don't eat it.
And depending on the soarness of your throat you could also try to use your voice to get rid of that tickle. You hum for about 5 minutes. try to be aware of what the humming vibrations do to your throat and upper lungs. You might just cough up that irritating tickle. Works for me. Hope you feel better soon.

I would suggest eating a spoonful of honey before you go to bed it works a treat when I have a sore throat or tickly cough.

Alot of people will say cough medicine and honey - but they are not all that good.

The best thing you can do is to let is run its course. No exercise (you may be glad to hear) as you will breath harder and aggravate it.

Try drinking alot of water and rest watching tv or on the PC.

Hope you feel well soon.

This tip was in Men's Health magazine a few months back. When you have a tickle in your throat, stick your finger in your ear and wiggle it around a little. Believe it or not, it works to relieve that tickling feeling. I don't remember why it works but I've tried it and it really does work.

This may sound weird, but a glass of water with a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar works great. Sip it and it is instantly gone. A little honey works even better, but not real tasty together.
