You need to read the package insert or visit the web site of the antibiotic you are talking about. Omnicef is not one that I am familiar with. I have sold pharmaceutical produces for years and each product has different specifications as far as the temperature range they need so they remain biologically active.

Many biological compounds are frozen when shipped but have s short shelf life when they are brought to room temperature.

No, my son had omnicef and the doctor said that it does not suppose to be refrigerated or frozen.

You can not freeze an antibiotic. You are just suppose to take it till it finishes. If you do not wish to take it anymore throw it out. Please don't freeze it because it can cause you to become ill.

don't do it....on the bottle it says to store at temperature no higher than something like 75 degrees.....so just read those wanrning before u try to freeze it...something which u should probably not do

No, it would change the chemical make up. at least that's what I think. Call your pharmacist/chemist and get a proper answer.
