Chances are, sometime in the past when breasts suddenly bacame an obcenity in the eyes of the church, it was condemned for women to breast feed in public. This brought about a new issue, "where can we get sustinance for babies without breastfeeding?"
Well, we could have decided to 'milk' women, but at th time, you can imagine how crude this may have been. So instead, they found how conveniently cows had been created to fit the “intelligent design” of fitting so perfectly into a humans hands, and they decided it was another of gods great gifts to rape from animals.

A lactating animal has always been a source of nutrition. Humans seen that they fed there young and the babies flourished, so they probably drank it when they couldnt find water. I am only making a guess though, I do not know the facts.

No one really knows because milk was discovered in 7000 BC. So, I guess we will never know.
