I Just had a Total Knee Replacement on My Left Knee. I had a Scope two years ago and my Knee never got any better. I suffer with Arthritis which makes it hard for any Joint to get well. Sorry but it sounds like your GrandMother is headed for a Total Knee replacement also. I also am on OxyCodone, and have to "double" my dosage nightly to relieve the pain. Yes it will cause Upset Stomach, so your GrandMother needs to make sure NOT to take it on an empty stomach. I also take Tums at times to relieve the stomach Upset..

I have had knee disorders because 1987. First, a torn ACL after which a cartilage/menicus tear. I ultimately needed to have surgical procedure for each accidents. I could recommend that you just move to an orthopedic healthcare professional and get his/her recommendation, and now have an MRI performed for your knee. Usually the torn cartilage should be eliminated and smoothed out. Your immoderate exercise is also doing extra damage than well, so additionally ask your general practitioner how so much and what form of sporting activities you will have to be doing. Many humans move to a expert bodily therapist after surgical procedure. Squatting is likely one of the worst matters you'll do on your knees.

It will take time foryour grandma to recover from surgery. Any time bone is involved, the recovery time takes weeks and weeks.
Be patient with her, most grandmas and grandpas have been active when they were younger so they have done damage to their joints and knees etc.
If her problem wont get fixed right away, there are other things her doctor will try, such as replace her knee altogether.
Her doctor will also be playing around with her medicines to figure out the best way to settle her pain and suffering.
Tell her "its ok ,grndma, your knee will get better one day at a time" They always tell that to our patients in the hospital , that healing takes "one day at a time"

I really do not know, but i'd go back to her Knee doctor and her GP and find out what's going on. i think her tummy ache is due to stress and the Meds that she's taking. Its not really good to be taking Pain meds for a long time. i hope her knee is better.

The price of knee surgery is very low in India as compared to USA, UK and Canada. My cousin also got her hip replacement surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare .She is more than very happy with the results. She is totally pain free now. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines. I have read a lot of their patient stories also. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as all joint surgery is not covered by insurance in USA or by NHS in the UK. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

She needs to talk to her dr. There are many more options for pain relievers that can help her. She shouldn't have to deal with excessive pain.
