A person never really knows what they would do to survive until they are put in that position. However, I know I wouldn't have a hard time eating dog food.

But of course! I think anyone would eat just about anything to survive, if put into that drastic a situation. I mean, I've been a vegetarian for 15 years now, but I think if I were in the same situation as the Donner party, I'd end up developing a taste for the main ingredient in Soylent Green too!

ROFLAMO... sad but funny TRUE story...
My boyfriend at the time left for work and my two dogs were barking their heads off in the temporary set up we made in the garage. I went out there to see if they had been fed that morning, and the door closed on me.
Keep in mind that I said morning, I still had on my night gown, we were in a BRAND new neighborhood where houses were still being built beside us, I was alone, and in a hurry to shut the pups up. AND the door locked behind me!!!!
And NO I did not have a phone or cell phone on me or in the garage, nor did I have a key anywhere near me or outside, and no I had not even had breakfast yet. The job my boyfriend was head chef at a restaurant but he had an all day and night shift that DAY!!!
Needless to say at that point I was cold and hungry... after about 5 hours I tried the kibble and it was the blandest, hard tasteless. I had to stay in the garage till thank God he came home for a late lunch break and let me in the house. I don't I ever cried so hard in my life!!!

heck yes I would. It isnt like i havent eaten my share as a kid raised around hunting dogs. Heck my uncle had dog food in a fridge and we used to eat it buy the hand full. It wasnt best tasteing though. But some of my cousins liked it the rest did it to fit in or make money in bets. I remember eating dog bones for $10 and bback then that was alot of money. Its never harmed me before. As for wet food, its ok and I understand in the depression and other times of money problems people are know to use it to put in spagetti and make hamburgers ect. Good luck though. Eat what you have!

Only if absolutely necessary. I've tried it before, and wow, it's disgusting. I guess if I had to eat it to survive, then I would. I mean, anything would probably taste good in a survival situation lol

To live? You bet buddy, I am to live.
Once at work we had a potluck and one guy turns and holds out a plastic bin with cheese popcorn in it and said "Dude you have GOT to try these!" and while they tasted extremely stale they werent awful... and he turned the container around and it was "PUP-corn"! He must have got 50 people to do that, everyone but the plant manager I think.
But in survival? Bring on that cheesy pupcorn!
