My grandma used to make mulberry pies...that was really good. I think my grandma just put a couple TBSP of flour and sugar in the bottom and mixed the mulberries with sugar and put in a double crust pie. Here are some recipes...
Mulberry Pie
1 - 9 inch pie
3 cups mulberries
1 1/4 cups white sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon milk
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
In a large bowl, mix berries with sugar and flour. Place mixture into bottom pie crust. Dot with butter and then cover with top pie crust. Crimp edges, cut slits in upper crust, and brush with milk. Let pie rest in refrigerator for 30 minutes
Bake pie in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Lower oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake for an additional 30 minutes. Remove pie from oven and let sit on wire rack until cool.

Mulberries can be very tasty, if they are ripe. If you get them too early, they will be really sour. If you get them too late, they will probably be wormy. If you get them too early adn they are sour, you can still make tasty preserves with them. I would love to give you that recipe, but alas, I do not know it. My grandmother used to make it. We used to have a mulberry tree behind the church I grew up in and we used to go eat them.

They're excellent! Those are what my childhood was made of! My mother even made homemade jelly out of them. I used to pick them right off the tree. And it seems like I can't find them anymore! If you have them, enjoy them.
