I'm going to invite a bunch of my co-workers out to a party to celebrate my 30th birthday. I need some ideas for places to hold the party at, etc. It needs to be clean (no naughty, erotic, etc.) and fun, but "adult-like". You know, like bowling, or something. But some ideas BESIDES the ole' bowling standard.

maybe a comedy restaurant, unless you think a few swear words and questionable opinions being aired by comedians may offend your workmates... that's always fun

Plan a nice dinner or group movie, then reserve a suite at a hip, young hotel (like The Standard), close off the bedroom (make that area really romantic for "laters", with his favorite snacks, etc.), and lay out some cheese/fruit platters and wine with a gourmet cake. If you can get a suite with a patio/terrace, then that's even better, everyone can toast your boyfriend's 30th against a beautiful LA backdrop.

Hi! My 30th was this past Friday and I'm celebrating on Sunday. We are having brunch at a mid-range restaurant...not cheap, but not to expensive. I am keeping it small (16 total including work people, family, and friends) so it should make for a nice time. Good luck and have fun!

my 30 th is coming soon so i will just tell u what i was thinking:
1) one night for me and my hubby a nice romantic night away from home maybe in a hotel that will be the perfect start
2) have a bash with some of my closest friends at home just pizza music dancing and hanging out, i like doing things at home cause no one gets distracted with things around all the attention will be on me(since it is my bday)
3) take a long drive with the real close friends and find a nice bar and just talk and recall how my first 30 went

What about going paint balling? My husband is turning 30 next month and that is what he is doing with the guys. It is a good day time activity and then you have the option of doing dinner and drinks in the evening or just calling it a day.

Happy Birthday!
Denny's has senior discounts and a seniors menu. :-)
Find a nice restaurant with a good happy hour bar where you can have some good drinks and good food.

Take them to Chuck E. Cheese's, tell them you're about to start living out your second childhood.
