The Hba1c test shows this to a certain extent. It is more weighted on the last 3 or 4 weeks.

It measures the amount of glucose that has attached to red blood cells, which live for an average of 120 days. It tells you only about the preceding 120 days at most.

i think most diabetics know this one because since i have been diagnosed all my doctor and diabetic nurse seems to do is stick a needle in me for more blood tests i asked my nurse the other day if she could leave me some blood as i would like to go back to work lol,anyway had the test and it came back OK seeing nurse tomorrow and no doubt more blood to be taken i feel like a pin cushion lol but thanks for caring about people enough to place this message
