Diabetes Type I isn't a contagious disease. It is a genetic disorder that first appears in a person as an infant or small child.
Diabetes Type II is not a contagious disease either, but it appears later in life and is caused generally by diet and lifestyle -- high fat diet and sedentary lifestyle.
