One is never too old to have a birthday party. However, its the TYPE of birthday party that you can be too old ( or too young) for.
I would say a teen party with cake and soft drinks (not kool-aid...or booze) would be fine...but no clowns or pin the tail on the donkey type games. Some music playing and maybe a little dancing would be appropriate. No balloons unless you plan to use them in a game...like bursting them by sitting on them or something like that. You could also put little notes in the balloons telling the person that bursts it something to do... like squawk like a chicken or kiss someone on the cheek, or tell something about yourself... whatever makes it fun for the group you have invited.
Enjoy your party!

no - no - no - no you can have silly childlike birthday parties for the rest of your life. remembering your birthday and having fun is what helps most in keeping you young. You may want to stop aging at some point like have a 39th birthday party for like 20 years so you have fun without getting too old.

No Way...I just turned 27 and still go all out for my birthday. This year we got a party bus that held 24 girls and went out on the town! It's your birthday, do it UP!

you're never too old for a birthday party, but I think the type of birthday party you have changes as you get older.

if you're meaning, is 15 too old for you mom and dad to have a party for you with paper hats, pin the tail on the donkey and pinata's then I'd have to say, "yes"....that's pushing the boundries just a tad. haha

Nope, just make it age appropriate, like miniature golf, water park or an arcade party.
Nobody is too old to have birthday parties.

When my son-in-law turned 16, his girlfriend (my daughter) threw him a surprise party -- hawaiian style. All the girls and guys wore cool hawaiian prints and leis, and his birthday cake (he doesn't like traditional cake) was pineapple cheesecake. Rotisserie chicken, chips, and sodas rounded out the menu. He got tons of gifts -- all the teens had a great time dancing and playing party games -- it was really memorable. So I say, GO FOR IT!
