My boyfriend wasn't sexually active until he was 17. But since he was 14, he's had bumps that look like ant bites (WITHOUT the redness of ant bites) on his penis. They would always show up for about a week or two, then go away for about a year, then show up again, go away, etc. But what's worrying us is that they've been there now for 6 months & there are more of them. Again, he was NOT sexually active before the age they first appeared. From my research, it appears that it's NOT genital herpes or warts, but does anyone have information on what it might be?

Recurrent colorless bumps on the penis can range from genital herpes, warts, acne, pimples, allergic reaction to foods, or drugs, or clothing; or stress or even yeast infections. He should be seen by a doctor to be sure. Appearance of recurrent warts can also indicate genital cancers. If he can't afford medical care; he could go to a public health clinic. They would be very helpful and safeguard his confidentiality. In the meantime, you should refrain from engaging in any sexual activity with him for your own welfare. For both of your peace of mind; you should really urge him to seek immediate medical attention.

Doing research will not tell you what he has.

He needs to go to a Planned Parenthood and get a bood test for Herpes. That's the only way to rule it out.

The reason I say that is because he may have lied to you about when he became sexually active and if he had oral sex he could've gotten Herpes. He may also have cheated on you and is attempting to cover it up by telling you it's something he's always had.

Honestly I wouldn't have sex with him again until he agreed to take you to Planned Parenthood and get it checked out. It sure as hell sounds like Herpes and it wouldn't be the first time a guy has lied to his girlfriend.

The only *other* things I can think of would be warts or a rare STD called Mulluscum Contagiosum (an acne-like skin disease). Molluscum appears as flesh colored bumps and can be passed just like warts.

Everything requires testing.

That sounds exactly like genital warts. Maybe he dosn't want to tell you about his sexual experiences, but i really think he has a STD and he needs to see a doctor for an examination.
