I thought your suppose be open minded but seem just closed minded as people your against not believing fact and denying any who does not agree with you. Most of sites and information you post that say vegans diet better are not very credible and very biased. I love how seem to say meat-eaters when no one just eat meat they eat balance diet of meat and veggies. Also saying meat is bad because American are fat and have health problems from it. Which mostly is only an American problem because your mass consumer society and people eat more than they should. Also Most of world does not live in American by the way so that statics does not have large enough variable to be proven correct. How is that fact that save certain amount animals a year ? Yours society already killed animals before you ate them so regardless your actions there still dead.

i know that save more animal in week than you save your whole life with vegan diet and i hunt them. I buy my food at a market no plastic no wrapping fresh like a lot of the world outside your country does. You want to help animals why don't go after your country practice of mass produce and quick. Your only making problem worst with your diet instead going over what real problem is from how you comsume more than need and has be quick.

This answer best sums up most vegans from very smart person. (You assume that plant life has no intelligence. Only because you can't hear their screams as you rip them from the ground. How ignorant of you to assume that because you can't hear the screams of an intelligent life form that you are not killing them. If you assume that meat eaters take life then you too have to assume that you take life. Just because your food source does not move on legs does not degrade the fact that it has a right to life too.)

Actually plants are very intelligent, they can sense the humidity in the air and prepare their root systems before an oncoming storm. Also, about the studies used to prove that vegetables were better than meat were used while animals were on an unnatural diet (Genetically modified Soy and Corn) and cramped in a small cell making the toxins multiply within the meat. Also, the people from these tests ate lean meat with barely any of the fat, which happens to be the best part of the meat (most societies used to hold it in high esteem before 'nutrition' content of food was discovered). I do not think that most people consume enough usable calories in the U.S. most of it is in the form of plastic food (junk food). Their pattern of thought about the killing animals is... if enough people would be against eating meat then demand for meat would go down, when demand goes down supply goes down, and thus less animals will be killed/born.

Everybody is against what they do not believe in, their is no such thing as being open minded. Maybe... a question that asks, has the lack of traditional cuisines contributed to the situation we are in.

People are different.
You've made a generalisation that all vegans/vegetarians are a certain kind of person. Just as some vegans/vegetarians make generalisations that people who eat meat are a certain kind of people.
Every aspect that unites people also separates them.
The term Vegan and Vegetarian relates [most generally] to eating habits, not to the kind of person they are. Any person with basic logic and intelligence can tell you that "ignorant" is not a classifier for vegan. You're not working with accepted synonymous terminology.
If you want to eat meat, freaking eat meat okay. What do you have against someone who chooses a way different from yours? Your paths are different, they are not 'right' or 'wrong'.
The hypocrisy humours me.
Live your life with a little more metta...

Your lashing out at Vegans regarding open minded yet the very person that needs to open their mind is you. Stop taking it as a personal attack. Read beyond it and get to the benefits of a Vegan diet. Think about how much vegitation an animal must consume in order to put on a pound of meat for you to eat. That takes a lot of land! Now, think how much energy you can get from that same amount of vegitation without first processing it through another animal.

Yes eating meat is the way to go. Do u see there are so many fatty Americans and fatty Europeans. They eat a lot of meat. They are so fat! Also they die from heart disease, cancer and many other problems with their health. But it taste very good so it's OK.
What is your question?

I'm not a vegetarian, and I do know that the U.S. Government dietary information PROVES that a vegetarian diet IS healthier than one with meat in it - less cancer, less obesity, less heart disease, etc. And what does that have to do with capitalist politics? There are plenty of vegetarians that are or are not capitalists. Your English is rather poor, so I'm guessing you aren't from the United States, which might be why you have an inaccurate view of the way things actually work here.

firstly, a balanced vegan or vegetarian diet has ben proven to be OVERALLY more nutrious than a BALANCED meat diet. get over it.

secondly, there are always a 'bad' or 'misguided' bunch in every population so before RANTING on about your opinions, think that the majority of vegan/eterians are UNDER FIRE from people like you who blame us all for a few misguided peoples mistakes.

thirdly, you say we are polluting the planet with our packaging? Well what is meat wrapped in at the supermarkets? Sure, at the butchers its out free and minus the packaging but so is the fruit, nut and veggie stalls in the supermarket. You can also GROW your own veggies, that are free of packaging. You have no logical reason to argue this and are contradicting yourself.

fourthly, excuse the people who say meat is bad without going into specifics. They fail to mention that while it has many nutrients, other things like fat make it less healthier. So you dont have to GET SO WORKED UP over general opinions and resort to such AGRESSIVE ranting to prove your point.

fifthly, what is this about us hurting more animals than meat eaters? we dont torture, burn, pluck, skin, scald, milk or eat them, so dont even go there, your argument is pathetic and silly.

you need to think through your points and reasoning before you start attacking people. i hope that this has made you realise we are all not the EARTH-POLLUTING APPARENT ANIMAL-KILLING HYPOCRITES that you make us out to be.

eat a carrot. your the reason for people like Hitler.

Actually, plants have no central nervous system so they are not able to feel pain. They don't bleed and they don't struggle and cry out in pain. Plants are the living things that God gave us to feed ourselves on. These are innocent foods that don't require bloodshed that God has lavished to us. Please read this article. It's difficult to deny the facts in this article or even prove it wrong, because like they say, it's hard to argue with something or someone who is right.

Good question. And kit kat, most meat eaters don't protest outside of a salad shop and throw plant material at their patrons. The peta terrorist seem to glorify that behavior. Get off your horse you uppity so-and-so.

Foolish question. I, and most of my vegetarian kin are not against people. Besides that, it's not vegetarians that go into other parts of the Food and Drink section and chastise meat eaters, it's meat eaters that come in here spewing nasty remarks.
