Lately, when I know I need to eat, instead of just experiencing the normal hunger feeling, I experience a "sick" feeling, too. I get shakey, headachey, light-headed, and feel as if I could vomit.

It seems that eating usually cures this sick hungry feeling right away.

I'm healthy, eat well, work out regularly, take a daily multivitamin, and have no serious medical conditions (that know of).

My instinct says low blood sugar. Any other suggestions? Have any of you experienced this? Should I go to my GP right away for blood work/tests?

For the past few days, I feel this way before nearly every meal time. As if I'm starved to the point of being sick.

Thanks, ladies!

I does sound like low blood sugar - hypoglycemia, but it doesn't mean you have diabetes. I could be as simple as you not eating enough during the day.

I depends how long between meals and how much you eat at each meal. Maybe you just need to eat a little snack in between meals, especially if you're starved by the time you eat your next meal.

From the CDC website: For myself, the first two symptoms was the clue for me.

For yourself, sounds like you are in-tune with your body so if it would make you feel better talk to your GP about your concern.

What are the symptoms of diabetes?
People who think they might have diabetes must visit a physician for diagnosis. They might have SOME or NONE of the following symptoms:

Frequent urination
Excessive thirst
Unexplained weight loss
Extreme hunger
Sudden vision changes
Tingling or numbness in hands or feet
Feeling very tired much of the time
Very dry skin
Sores that are slow to heal
More infections than usual.

I have experience the symptoms that you have. I feel shakey when i drive and dizzy most of my days. I feel light headed most of the times. Okay then I went to the doctor, she told me to take a blood test. I have low blood sugar. My sugar was like 56...It was low, I could faint anytime. But then the doctor told me to eat six small meals a day. Eat an apple is very good for your health, eat many vegetable thats what they recommend me to do....I can relate to what you feel nowadays....The best thing to do right now is go to the doctor, and have a blood test to see if you have anything missing.....That is the first thing you should do, then as the results came after, by then you can understand what is going with you...Don't make an assumption, you have to take a blood test first thing....Take care...

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Feeling Faint Before Eating

Since you eat well, this shouldn't be happening. Get your blood work done right away, and in the meantime, carry a few granola bars in your purse. They are just enough to take the edge off your hunger until you can eat a meal.

It sure sounds like you need to ask your doctor to do some blood work. There are millions of diabetics who don't know it.
