Unfortunately he is one of many people we may assume have or had TB. Right now patient autonomy is a real problem especially in public health. The larger story in all of this is that now people are aware of MDR TB's (multi-drug resistant) which is a huge problem especially in the immigrant population. Everyone should make sure that they have thier TB tests done biannually if in a high risk population. The CDC has a great sight to explain some of the specifics behind all of this and I recomend that everyone reads this before forming an opinion on this subject. I had a role in producing some of the information on this site during my undergrad studies.
When you die from TB it is your immune system that actually kills you not the bug(via caseous necrosis of gohns foci) no pills or immune strengtheners in the world will help when exposed to TB just the off chance that either it goes latent or is treated with Rifampin, Isoiozid, Ethambutol and PZA which are all first line drugs.

Yes, He wins the biggest douchbag award for 2007. He was even told not to travel and he did it anyway. I say that guy should be put to death. 28 people have already been diagnosed with this man's sickness.

Stories like there are only more proof that we have to do everything we can to keep our own immune systems working as best as possible. There is no telling what kind of germs and communicable diseases those around you might have and might be spreading.

My family takes Immune Alert to keep our systems strong. We've been so happy with the results. Get a free trial at www.immunealert.com
