i have suffered from migraines all my life. i am now on preventatives that i take every night. there are some that still break thru but not near as bad or as long. i found in a health book that some migraine sufferers are magnesium deficient. i take a magnesium supplement and it has seemed to help too. there are great dr's that will help with migraine and any dr that just tells you to take Tylenol is crazy and prolly never suffered a migraine. i had a dr tell me to take 2 motrin and forget about it. obviously she had never had one. find a neurologist they can help. and yes blurry vision, nausea, sensitive to light/sound/touch, there are numerous things that go along with migraines.

Only some people know ahead of time when they will be getting a migraine. I am one of the few. I see a bright circle with silver arrows all around it. When i get a migraine I can't do anything but lay in a dark room with no noise. It sometimes will last up to 3 days and it's just awful. I am on medication for migraines and it works fairly well. If you are able to walk around I wouldn't think you had a migraine. I think you should see a neurologist and find out for sure what type of headache you get. There are so many things you could have that you should find out for sure and be treated for it.

Try this for immediate temporary relief.

Shower with the warm/ hot water hitting on your neck for as long as you can.

Rotate hot water bottle then ice pack for 5 to 7 min each. Try to stay away from heating pads they dry out your muscles.

or even better

You can either cut down a towel or use a hand or dish towel. sew the three sides like your making a pillow, put inside long grain rice as a filler. Only enough to fill 1/4 to1/3 (or more if you'd like) of the inside. Finish sewing up. Now you can either place in the freezer for 20-30 min + or stick it in the microwave for seconds to minutes until the temp you want. The rice bag will hold the temp for quite a while and will mold around your body. Great for any pain or discomfort and will last forever as long as you don't get it wet. Hang in there and good Luck!!!

Main stream medicine has no permanent treatment for migraine. Try homeopathy or ayurveda if you can get access to a competent alternative healer. If Emotional problems are suspected, try EFT (www.emofree.com) and Reiki.

Best wishes for your good health.
