What will it take to end this war in Iraq?

isn't this a little TOO MUCH like another war we got our asses kicked in? aka: Charlie where are you?

Technically, the war is over and we are in the middle of an occupation. The war really just lasted a few weeks.

Remember when the soldiers rolled into Baghdad? Remember the tank crew helping the locals pull down the statue of Saddam?

The war ended then. That's when the occupation started.

We ripped through the Iraqi army like a steamroller going over a field of clover.

************

What we should have done... (going in and ousting Saddam was the right thing to do)

As soon as we got our hands on Saddam, we should have put him up against a wall, "administered 275 grains of high velocity lead", then said:

"OK.. job's done. We're pulling out. We know you guys will get back to your business of fighting each other... you've only been doing it for over 4,000 years. Don't let us stand in your way."

If you are in the US, we never lost a war. Victory in Iraq is the only acceptable outcome, no matter how long it takes. Try to be brave.

Near impossible for the US to win in Iraq in view of IRAN's direct and indirect support of the insurgents in Iraq. Heck even the Iraqi army, and police have insurgents implanted within the ranks.

The answer to your queation lies in Teheran's hands. Nothing else. Iraqis cannot be trusted. Period.

Stop trying to win a war and start trying to win a peace.

Most Americans would consider VICTORY a suitable solution.

Sadly, Democrats and Al Queda would prefer our defeat and surrender.

class dismissed.

has anyone every thought of simply asking these militia and insurgents to, "please stop suicide bombing civiliens?"

i mean, maybe if we make a promise of us leaving, and giving them money, they would stop....

the iraqis could help with this, i never hear about protests or them telling or asking for an end to the bloodshed.....

why can´t somebody just ask them to stop?
