So I've cut a good portion of carbs from my diet which has worked wonderful for me, plus I've uped my protein intake a bit.
I've been doing this for a while now. Since the weight loss has slowed a bit, I started walking. First I hiked a 4 mile trail, next morning weied in w/ +2 pounds! SO yesterday I decided to take it down a bit an only did a fast paced 30 min walk on mostly flat ground. Weighed in this morning and +1....what's the deal? (I do not eat afterwards, I cut food out at about 4 pm every day. )

I am not counting carbs, just limiting them, I know what good ones are versus bad ones......
I do not weigh myself after a workout, your true weight is in the a.m. when you wake up.....
Also, I used to "diet" w/ Weight Watchers, and when I did that w/ the gym I would also gain weight. So this is something that isn't just happening to me because of cutting carbs.....

#1. stop weighing yourself daily. being a slave to those numbers on that scale can ruin your life

#2. change the focus to changing your body composition not to be "x" lbs on the scale. if you reduce your body fat % to below average levels all the unwanted bulges will be gone

#3. the diet ultimately determines the shape of the body, exercise only provides the stimulus. never consume less calories than the BMR requires or the metabolic rate will slow impeding fat loss.

* not eating after 4 pm is a great way to slow the metabolic rate. starving the body for greater than half the day is far from optimum for fat loss. the body expends energy 24 hours a day and it needs nutrients every 3-4 hours that you are awake

You can weigh more if you are a person who doesnt have a great deal of water in your body. when u exercise your body creates lactic acids and other discharges which can add to your weight. Foods and drinks you consume can also contribute.

My personal view on it however is that becuase u have cut carbs out of your diet, and continue to do fairly vigourous exercise your body is lakcing carbs. When you are exercising your uses carbs and proteins. You only burn fat when doing simple tasks, like sitting and sleeping etc. This is because carbs are easily turned into energy so the body conserves it for when u need it the most i.e. exercise. Fats are not as easily broken down and so release energy a little slower. Which is wat is required when doing activities that dont require as much energy.

You are limiting your carbs, therefore havin an adverse affect on your body. Your body wants carbs but doesnt have any so when u do eventually put some in, it chooses to store it as oppose to burn it as normal. think of it as, if you dont have water at work and were really thirsty one day and couldnt get it, youll remember next time to bring a bottle and store some water there. Same type of thing happens with your body.

I recommed:
Limit your carbs intake yes but make sure you still put some in. have a banana before workout or eat some complex carbs like oats or brown rice earlier in the day. (low Glcyemic index). And maintain your levels of protein and other nutrients. It may help in losing the weight, feeling alot better and ensuring you can work out at a higher intensity.

You need to stop being so insane with the carb counting and all...if you haven't done so, I would suggest you take this matter up with your doctor to see if your diet and exercise program is healthy for you and appropriate.
Now what you may be seeing is an increase in muscle mass. Muscle is heavier than fat...always consult with a health professional before you began any diet or exercise program!

Well, fact does it that you shouldn't weigh yourself after exercising because your muscles gets heavier after exercising. To know what your real weight is, you should weigh yourself before you start the exercise.
