John 10:28-20 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, a is greater than all, no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.
My beloved sister Cate...no one can take you out of God's hand....you can willingly leave His care but that would have to be your choice. Sometimes the way is dark, but He's also promised to never leave or forsake you. Remember Job....it looked dark for him, he lost everything he had but he refused to curse God and die like his friends urged him to do...He kept saying, I KNOW my Redeemer lives.

A Christian could probably lose his/her way if they were wrongly convicted of a crime; falsely accused; was victim to a life-threatening illness or accident; was assaulted, etc. Another way could be through peer pressure...
Some Christians would keep on praying, and knowing in their hearts that any of the above was God's will--for whatever reason. Others may not be as strong.
I don't think that if someone has achieved eternal salvation that they could lose that...

From a Pentecostal Perspective, yes you can loose your Salvation. You loose it by continuously willfully rejecting God's Sovereign Will. Sinning, and hardening your Heart will bring you to the point where your Soul is in danger. There is much to be said in Hebrews on this subject.
Be Blessed in Christ Jesus !

as a child growing up in the assemblies of God church, I was taught that when you sinned that you had back slid and had to get saved again, I got saved and re saved hundreds of time.
as did many others raise in that environment, but the truth is that once you have found God he will never lose you. His hand is upon you and He is with you always
even now he is dealing with you, for a long time I thought that I had left God but he never left me.
and He will never leave you, it is OK to be angry with God He does understand, why thing happen to us that we do not understand only God know, and only God know what these things are allowed to happen. perhaps some of it is answered in the book of Job.
at time we all have to put our trust in God no matter what, and
believe that He will see us through, that is call Faith.
when this is over, and you have come through victorious you will be a stronger believer than you have ever been.
know this that God will not take away someones free will, but he will change Ben's heart, it might not be today, or tomorrow, but even now He is working for your good.

When you believe that Jesus is your Lord and Savior, you accept His gift of salvation, you ask forgiveness for your sins, you repent from your sins and when you have done all this you just have to believe that Jesus is going to do His part. He keeps His promises.
Satan is trying to make you to doubt God's Word. He will use whatever he thinks works. Just do not fall into these traps of Satan.
You can lose your salvation if you do not value it and you start to love this world more than God. But remember that God is bigger than any of your sins. There are a lot of things we do not understand in His business, but we can rely on His wisdom. : )

I for one interpret Scripture to say we cannot lose our salvation, but that it is possible for a person to throw it away.
Like any gift it is up to the reciever to do with it what they will. Some use the gift as intended, to its fullest potential and some just ignore the gift.
And then some disdain the gift, and toss it away.
Now Baptist and some others say once saved always saved. (I am not Baptist, nor do I agree with all their teachings, nor with the Calvinist.) I lean toward the Wesley Armenian doctrines with a little dash of Pentecost and Evangelical.
Our church and the churches I've gone to teach, God promises He will not kick us to the curb, but that to "lose" one's salvation a person would have to declare a re-separation from God. (EDIT:) In the interest of clarification, still one cannot 'lose' their salvation. And definitely we who call Christ our Lord, fall and fail frequently in some cases, and not as often in others. That in and of itself is not indicative of lost salvation.
Hope this helps.
I guess in the end we will all find out won't we. I expect to see you then, with a smile of joy and gladness in that day of great rejoicing.

Salvation is a free gift from God you can never loose it. When I was in the military I got caught up in the drinking, and other stupid stuff, in other words I lost my way. When you are focused on God in your life, you are in fellowship with God. Sometimes Christians forget or are tempted to loose their way, and do UN-Godly things.

Some people may have deceived themselves by thinking that they have become Christians when they really never did. When they appear to backslide, they are just behaving in accordance with the lack of change on the inside. See the parable of the sower- the 4 soils.
