I got a 9 week old kitten at the weekend and am planning on taking her to the vet in the next couple of weeks for a check up. My question is, what can I do (worm, flea treatments, etc) and what should I be expecting the vet to do (injections etc)?

Thanks!

The kitten need to start teh vaccinations now it actually should have started at 6-7 weeks they should have had the set of shots by 12 weeks. Don't wait for a couple weeks make an appointment as soon as possable and get teh kitten started. When you go to the vet take a stool sample so they can test for worms and if it does have worms get what is needed at the vet. Also talk to the vet about when he would suggest to havethe kitten fixed.
I would ask teh vet the best thinng to use for fleas.
All you should do now is feed, water, and keep the litter box clean also play and give attension.

they will just do a general check over to make sure all is OK.
they will give you course of flea/tick treatment that you will have to apply every 6 weeks or so(this treatment is carried on for life) and will give her a booster shot you will then have to take her back in a few weeks for another and then you will just get her done yearly. that's all really but talk to your vet they will tell you everything that you need to know! then just enjoy it!!!! take care
