Is it Boticelli's Birth of Venus? could be anything - try the following:
Birth of Venus - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Birth_of_Venus_(Botticelli)

Venus Anadyomene - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venus_Anadyomene

Venus emerging from the sea
http://www.opaintings.com/artists/titian/reproduction/2679/venus-emerging-from-the-sea.html

It was very, very a popular subject coz it was an easy portrait for the artist to paint and allowed the incorporation of female nudity at a time when such things were considered obscene.

Do a google search based on 'venus', 'sea', 'painting' - that's where I got the above links

Hope this helps
