You are correct. I do believe in a God that I cannot prove through some scientific evidence. You are absolutely correct. I cannot prove why I have faith in God. What I can tell you is that my experiences when in the very presence of God have been amazing. I have had many things happen in my life where events were changed for the better through the power of prayer. I have been given peace about awful events that have happened when I prayed to God for strength to get through them. I have been broken down into tears when God has revealed something to me personally through someone else's words in a sermon, devotional, or even a simple email or instant message conversation. The only thing I can prove to you is that I have been touched by God in my life. If you choose to believe that it was not God, then that is your choice to believe something that you cannot prove. :-)

Here is why :
- Scientific Proof : Most of us, understand proof as Absolute fact but this is NOT entirely true (meaning Incomplete Truth)
- Math is the Tool of science to prove scientific fact - but Math itself is NOT Absolute (Godel's Incompleteness mathematically prove this fact) - Basically, mathematical truths derive from a Set of Undefined Axioms(No proof required)
- Quantum Physics : Now physical matter is questionably as fact
- God is a Axiom as in Math !!!
...
So, before you question about 'god concept' - I think you should find out about "What is the nature of scientific fact"
Hint : Intellectual & Intuitive (your brain has Both)
Cheers

Psalms 37:5, 6
"Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun."
I believe that only God can vindicate my own personal cause for justice to be done, and that trying to pursue my own idea of justice would never work. I can't prove it because it would lie in the future!

That god does not exist.
There is not one single shred of evidence to show that a god exists. The bible, which some christians claim as evidence is so full of inconsistencies and contradictions I'm amazed that anybody can consider it to be the truth.
The evidence of evolution is very strong and has been proven in some species. So I'll base my beliefs on science rather than mythology.

I believe that I am visited by Aliens from other worlds. They either visit me and abduct me for scientific research or for amusement.I can prove neither but I believe it to be true. What gos around comes around I know that some other beings do the same things to the Aliens that visit me and treat them the same way.

A Christian's belief is reinforced by the experience of the Holy Spirit working in his life. If you do not believe you will not have the experience to know.
