I'm not supporting the booing, but, they were mexican citizens living and working IN MEXICO, just like the minute men and Bill O’Really, and Neil Cabuto in the USA.

If mexicans insult an american is the lower thing in the world, and the "americans are very moral superior than that buch of savages" but people like Bill O’Really or the minute men, insult the mexicans not only in the 60 seconds wich last the boooing to Miss USA, but by hours and hours every day in the american media.

Isn't nice when you are the victim of stupid insults right???

(And yes my english is awful, so what? i'm living in Mexico City, here we talk spanish)

OMG peacefuljeffrey:

You are just hillarius, tell me about "Man on fire"???????

Man that movie was entirely filmed in Mexico City, the director Tony Scott went to the premier here in Beautifull Mexico City.

We have the world record of museums in the world and it's a city full of life and culture (something that you don't show by the way)

I even was an extra of the movie, in the rave scene, if Mexico City is SOOOO dangerous how it is possible the Hollywood crew could filmed entirely here and even attend to the world premiere here?

Man you need to watch the pageant to see all the love the contstants recieve, including Miss USA, she was here 5 times on vacation and even she didn't mind too much the boos

I don't care if it's in Mexico. It makes me ashamed to be Mexican when those Mexicanos act like that. Just shutup and don't applaud if you hate the U.S. so much. Jesus Christ.

The booing was a direct hit aimed at the USA for the immigration laws now being tossed around by our politicians
and others. It`s just too bad that a young girl had to face the disrespect of a country while competing in a pageant and bear the brunt of their disapproval, of which she probably had no part in. Shame on u, Mexico.

I'm glad you don't support the booing (neither do I because I find it rude). If nothing else, nobody in the crowd insulted her. Yes, you can do whatever you want in Mexico, but in the USA don't expect we treat you like kings if you treat our people like crap. It's common sense. By the way, your English is very good and please help your country go back to becoming the power house of Latin America and not letting people tresspass U.S. soil. You have a country rich in resources, take care of it. I like Mexico but USA is my land and I love it as much as you love Mexico. Thanks!

A lot of Mexicans have a belligerent attitude towards the U.S. We are seen as their rival, from everything to corporations and trade to water rights to sports teams. Also it is a way they define themselves and affirm their own patriotism. It is a bit like patriotic Americans now will talk about beating the terrorists, as a frame of reference for their own Americanness.

I believe a lot of the hostility of Mexicans towards the U.S. comes from the belief that Americans are living lives of pleasure and privilege, that we have life much easier than them. So, chalk it up to jealousy and resentment. Also important is the widespread belief that we robbed land from Mexico in wars a long time ago. So they have the idea that some of the wealth that the U.S. is now enjoying should be theirs, that they have been cheated. And definitely, our immigration policy is seen as exploiting their countrymen to make our own businessmen richer. Also the US is painted as a renegade country that starts wars rashly, doesn't ratify Kyoto and other intnat'l treaties, and tries to control the world. The government in part promotes these ideas..maybe to deflect attention from its own shortcomings.

I felt very sorry for Miss America and who knows..if the pageant had taken place in another country she might have won. But then, imagine a Miss Iran competing in a beauty pageant in the U.S. How would she be treated?

TO RAFEAL: How would you like it if Miss Mexico got booed in America just because she is Mexican? Wouldn't you find that very rude and offensive?? What happened to the caballerismo of your guys?

p.s. not all of us support Bush..his approval rating is at 35% right now. he did not even win the majority of the votes in his 1st election to president -- his opponent did.

I think the booing was uncalled for and ignorant, and I would say the same about it if it happened here!

The ones you talk about are a small minority, though vocal! I would not get to disturbed by them as they are in the same party that hires and uses Mexican people, ergo nothing gets done!

Don't insult the rest of us who defend others. You only make enemy's that way. Some Republicans don't care. I am not one of them and I do! You don't want to piss off all Americans as that is not going to be helpful, just like our (politicians)pissing everyone off isn't either!

The pageant had to do with one young woman, and you just decided to degrade her, and yourselves, in front of the world! I suspect you will never see it (the pageant), or many things in Mexico because of your rudeness!

I am not grading your English.

What? there's people still living in Mexico? I thought they all swam the rio grande. So, since it's a felony in Mexico to be an illegal, and here in the USA, wellfare, free health care and Bush is offering amnesty. Yeah, those dirty Americans.

Miss USA is just trying to be miss USA. She's a philanthropist, doing good for the world. She should hopefully represent the good of the US. Not the bad. She getting booed was tasteless, tactless, and immature. She solely is not responsible for all the bad things that are going on in the world. So why boo her? It's not her fault.

I think it is aweful that anybody would boo someone from any country during an event like that. One of the major problems with the world today is that everybody has to "get revenge". If you do something to me then Ill do it back or something worse. I think everybody should practice respect and forgivness. Take the higher road and be the better person if respect and forgivness dont work for you.

I think your English is fine!

It's a shame. Leaders may have thought is was good for international relations to locate in Mexico. Let us hope the good outweighed the bad.
