No one has the right to kill others. But that doesn't mean those who committed murders should be "forgiven" and set free. We have to set a balance between compassion and wisdom. We have to consider for the "greater good" of the society. Will he harm others again if let free? Also, we have to consider the circumstances leading to his offence.
We have to review each case separately. There is no clear cut answer.

This is the only kind of crime that I don't think must be released to the community. It's the most hideous crime of the century that they will be committing it again violently. If this is premeditated murder that means they are psycho already before they've done it, So let them stay there for the duration of their sentence.I don't want to be a neigbour to a murderer, they can be put to a secluded place away from the population.

well ive lost basically 2 friends to murders.
one was by a gang while she was on her way to work. the other was in iraq's war & lets face it. war is basically organised mass murder.
ANYway....yes though they should be forgiven. this from 2 views...one is christian the other is the councillor that came when my friend was gang-raped to death. it supposedly helps one to move on with life & get over what happened.
your second question...should they be released back to the world? NO!
they've proven themselves dangerous & even though they say otherwise, such people can not be trusted. forgiveness & trust are 2 dif thigns.
& in case you're wodnering, no i dont believe in the death penalty either. cuz that also is like organised murder & the dead know not anything. so there's really no point.
its best to keep them alive & put them in a hard prison (like azkaban in harry potter...similer to alcatraz).for life. or exile them to a solitary existence on some forgettong island or somethign. that way they'll learn the hard way that what they did was wrong.

Forgiveness in your heart is different than paying society's deemed punishment for a crime.
For example, if someone murdered one of my family members, I would do my best to forgive the murderer in my heart. That would have no effect on the murderer being brought to trial and sent to prison, however.

NO,
WELL.. OK..
IF THEY MURDERED FOR THE THRILL AND BECUZ THEY ARE JUST PLAIN EVIL THEN NO THEY SHOULD NEVER BE RELEASED... BUT LETS SAY IT WAS A CRIME OF PASSION..SPUR OF THE MOMENT, SELF-DEFENSE TOWARDS URSELF OR A LOVED ONE.. THEN YES I THINK THEY SHOULD BE RELEASED ONCE THEY HAVE SERVED THEIR TIME... BUT OTHER THAN THAT MURDERS SHOULD RECEIVE THE SAME PUNISHMENT AS TO WHY THEY ARE IN THERE.

Released from prison....I assume?
Should the innocent, who are falsely accused be re-tried in a court of law, by a jury of their own peers?
How many tax dollars will we spend to free the innocent and defend the guilty??

Jesus has all authority to forgive sins.
Mt 9:6 - Show Context
But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins..."
So when the person is without guity because he is forgiven, he will surely feel free.

Kind of depends on the circumstances surrounding the situation, I think. For a cold-hearted unrepentant murderer, I say no.

Yes, but only after being shot in the head 10 times. If they live, good luck to them.
