LMAO!! This is so tragical and yet so incredibly funny! Well... Sheep go anywhere the shepherd leads them...
"Sin" is a concept introduced by one of the deities who presented himself as the Creator and next ordered "his chosen people" to practice racism, commit mass murder, steal "promised land" from people who grew up and lived there for ages, and so on and so forth.
God is love, but people are generally willing to believe anything that tells them they don't need to take their own responsibility to find truth. God forbids nothing, for that would contradict his own Law of Free Will. There was a creature who addressed himself as JHVH, who just loved to be worshipped by his "chosen people." That's all.
EDIT
By the way, sin against the Holy Spirit was considered deadly by Yeshua's disciples, simply because the belief to be material ("life was created by matter") leads to belief in death and results in the agonizing hell of endless reincarnations, while belief in the Spirit ("matter was created by life") leads to belief in life and hence liberation from death.

While we tend to think of different sins having different degrees of severity before the eyes of God, a sin is a sin no matter what it is, though some make a better story. In God's eyes (and not in man's), just one indisgression against His law is enough to send a person to an eternity without hope of His salvation. What is wonderful, though, is that when the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross, He took the eternal punishment for all our sins, past, present and future! It seems that you are a troubled soul (from the question you asked), and also an intelligent, thoughtful and sensitive one. May I suggest that you earnestly seek God's "still, small voice" within you as you read His Word. I can guarantee you that all questions will be answered as His Word becomes more familiar to you. He will guide you to Him if you so desire because He has never turned away any sincere seeker! May He bless you as you seek your answers!

Here comes an arithmetic problem:
According to respectable surveys about 20% of all priests interviewed confirmed that they are homosexual. This is clearly higher than the average 5% homosexuals in society.
If murder and homosexuality are equal we have to raise a question:
Would the average christian family prefer Charles Manson or Freddie Mercury in the pulpit?

I guess it depends on your Theology :)
In my Theology, provided it is consensual and nobody is getting hurt, it is not sinful. It only becomes sinful if one party is taking advantage of the other in some way, but that would stand true for a heterosexual partnership as well, so I guess that point is moot :D
Homosexuality by itself is NOT sinful - it is what is happening in the heart and the head that makes it sinful or not! Just like any other sexual practice :)

Homosexuality per say is not a sin; it's sin when the homosexual does the act.
There is no degree in sin, sin is sin, end of story!

Easy Muder is a sin. Homosexuality, a condition created by god, is not. I am not gay, but of course I am also not christian, so I don't understand all the hatred and its purpose.

sexual orientation is an option for everyone to choose as they please.. i do not believe that being homosexual is a sin. how can it be??
how can god tell you not to love someone just because ur of the same gender? people are allowed to live their lives how they choose... and the real sin is hating people for their sexual orientaion..
& murder.. is definately a sin... ur taking away someones life..

Supposedly, I God's eyes all sins are the same...from murder to gambling to eating meant during Lent to simply asking a question. And they all get the exact same punishment.
All of it goes away if you just worship him and stroke his ego.
Calling this "just" is a bad joke.
