Right you are plus with something extra ;)

Even if it means you are staying over at someone's place, the "innocent" term would be, "I'm staying over at Eddie's tonight."

But when you use that exact sentence it only means one thing. "I'm off to visit Ingrid for the night."

It means someone is going to get "lucky" that night. ^_^.

Yes. That's what it means. If a person says, "Visit someone at night," that just means they are visiting somebody during the evening hours, but not staying over. "Visiting for the night" implies staying over at someone's residence.

That expression sounds like a nice way of saying "have sex". It can mean just sleep there, and it does suggest staying all night, but there are a number of ways to say that without sounding sexual.
to sleep over
to crash at someone's place
to put someone up for the night
to stay overnight

Depends on the context. The way you are putting it is kind of sexual.
If you "visit someone for the night" it can mean that you are going to sleep(have sex) with that person.

don't think too much of it, it probably means that person wants to stay over at your house for the night.
