Some say that wears your paddle but how can you wear a paddle?

I would go with the answer " wears" your paddle as in wearing out! It's spelled differently but pronounced the same. I would post if anything else crossed my mind

Wears your paddle would mean that rowing wears out the paddle. It's a reach, but it's all I could come up with.

It's no longer a riddle, it is an absurdistic story, that is out to confuse you. And it did. It's the identical like the 2 men going for walks at the seashore, wherein one in every of them says 'Can I stroll within the center now?' It's no riddle, only a funny story.

"Where's your paddle" becomes "Wears your paddle" which is why he replies "Sure does"
