I will never understand what people think Christianity, or people of the Judeo-Christian perspectives, have to gain from spreading their faith. What do I, personally, stand to gain or lose based on whether others choose a homosexual lifestyle, for example? But I believe that it is sin, based not on my own humble opinion, but on scripture. And the person who jotted down the verses in the Bible calling it sin had no vested interest in homosexuals renouncing their sinful ways, either. They wrote it for the sake of the homosexuals.

God's will is dictated BY GOD. It's there in black and white. My reading and sharing it doesn't make me judgmental; doesn't mean I'm playing God.

I am all for reproduction. I am AGAINST people butchering unborn babies. Not because I have a vested interest in the woman's body. Because I have a vested interest in humanity, as a member of the species. And if we as humans can murder our own helpless infants, what WILL we stop at? That makes the crusades, wars, etc. look like child's play.

Jim Bakker used religion for his own personal gain. You can take that situation, and the limited ones like it, and generalize, accusing all of Christendom of behaving in the same way. But that will only make you wrong. Most Christians stand to gain nothing but slanderous remarks from trying to share their faith.

We all can and should come together on what we have in common. We should all do what's best for the planet. We should all do what's best for humanity. From my perspective as a Christian, that's a moral imperative. Because I believe I will answer someday for what I do here on earth. So I do not have the luxury of just living for the day. It's the people who don't think they're answerable to anyone or anything, who upset the balance, just as much as their counterpoint- the extremist terrorists.

No. Have you ever seen video clips of Hitler's speeches? Researchers have noticed that when listening to Hitler, blood pressure rises, regardless of whether you understand German or not. People respond to passion and charisma more than they do to facts. Especially in today's society, style is more important than substance.

yes
god wants nothing
is everything
and we are part of it
when we love we are in heaven
when we hate we are in hell
there is no devil as that would make 2 gods and there is only 1

It's not exactly belief vs. facts so much as emotion vs. reason.

Did they have a control group that had never heard of Hitler and had no preconceived ideas about him?

I doubt it, so it is not meaningful.

You are correct on style-substance, though.
