Technically speaking, no.
There may be a perfectly irrational, psychological reason. Because it's a depressant it reduces the inhibition before shutting down basic body function (and you pass out) so the normal "screens" between the emotions we bring to the bar and what is "acceptible" get tossed out the window. So, if you only drink whiskey on nights you go to honkey-tonks, and you just don't like cowboys in their wranglers and boots, then that dislike may surface and you get into a fight.
On the other hand, if you like to listen to salsa music and only drink rum in clubs with salsa music and hot little chickitas, then the natural feelings of randiness may surface. Rum won't get you in bed with a chick. Nor does whiskey make you fight. But the screens come down with the alcohol... for a while, until you pass out.

I don't know why this happens, but it does. My ex was the sweetest guy as long as he was drinking beer, but give him some whiskey and he instantly became a big jerk.

Whiskey make a very bad drunk for me while wine is a more sleepy mellow drunk. Beer however, is the happy-go-lucky drunk and makes me jolly ( until the 14th or 15th beer. by then I am just sht faced))

some people are just mean drunks. it's not the type of alcohol that makes you aggressive, it's the personalty of the drinker.

It does not make me more aggressive, but it does make me more sensitive to insult which in turn makes me aggressive.
