AAFES is like a mini mall for the military personnel. Active, retired, civilians who work for the military etc. Yes, they sell Coach and yes their real. If the tag says more then the price you paid then consider yourself getting a bargain. Aafes has a website to but you have to be in the service or affiliated with the service (civilian worker) in order to access the site.http://www.aafes.com/

This is purely a guess: I imagine one of four things will happen to it: 1] IF the person you bought the purse from has a history of selling fakes and knockoffs, the purse will be retained until the situation is resolved in court. 2] The purse will be marked or stamped as an imitation and it will be donated to an organization such as Goodwill for re-sale in one of their shops. 3] The company will keep the purse to compare it with other fakes and knockoffs brought to their attention. When Coach prosecutes that person or those people, Coach can do with it as they wish. 4] The purse Will be destroyed. As far as you're concerned, does it really make any difference what happens to the purse? You resolved your situation with Paypal. As the law says, you were "made whole". Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed taking the time to answer it. VTY, Ron

They would have it. You can buy a bunch of good stuff at AAFES stores and not even have to pay taxes on it. These stores are oriented for army personnel and they tend to give you discouts on things and are exempt from state and local taxes.

It's not a fake. The exchanges on base are more like a Dillards or Macy's than a Sears. Lancome, Estee Lauder, Chanel cosmetics. Ralph Lauren and DKNY clothes. They are much cheaper and we pay no sales tax. The stores are not for profit and that is why we get merchandise so much cheaper.
The exchanges are for all branches of military and their dependents.

Yes you can get some designer stuff at AAFES. Some service member probably bought it then didn't want it any more so they put it up on ebay.

the military exchange system offers everything from toothpaste to Tommy Hilfiger at prices below retail.. sometimes as much as 30% or more for authorized patrons.

You scored a deal.

No worries, the Exchange sells Coach.

Although it's not a necessity, it's something that the customers want, so the Exchange provides it. Given how poorly our military is paid, a little *extra* here or there is nice. :)
