paper grocery bags. all my cats love those to crawl in and hide, and pounce out of. and they love the crinkly sound.
there are crinkly fabric covered bags you can get in the pet shop for your cat.
they love boxes too, to hide in, and pounce out of.
little balls to push and make roll and then pounce on.
they love chasing things. so i used to drag around pieces of string for them to chase. or dangle it. or hold it up high so they jump in the air for it. there are a few cat toys that you can get like this with handles, and a bouncy toy at the end. they love those kind of toys.
though i have to say most toys you get will get destroyed fairly quickly.
and a lot of toys have been totally ignored by my cats. you'd think they'd like those toy mice to chase, but nope. mine have not even taken to scratching posts or those cat houses.
in your case though, a cat house would probably work well. they can sit up high on them and look down. which cats adore doing. can rest on them. hide in them. use as scratching post.
or you can get little beds for them to curl up in.
some cats love catnip toys and others just seem to ignore them. i think the catnip needs to be pretty fresh, new. or you can spray catnip spray on the toy. you can spray catnip on scratching posts as well to try to get them to use that as a scratching post rather than your furniture.
i had one cat who went mad over catnip. he really loved it. he got all content and dosey, after playing with it and chewing it. so worth a try.
you can get containers of dried catnip for cats.
you can grow it in your garden as well, if you like doing a little gardening. it is very easy to grow, and needs hardly any care.

Your little male is in straight forward terms a talker. some cats are extra vocal than others. Momma cats are very attentive mothers, yet they do get a handful whilst they get a clutter of kittens of 5 or so. And momma cats make various little sounds to their brood. They trill and squeek and mew and mumble, yet their interest might desire to unavoidably be scattered between the kittens. This little guy knows the thank you to get mom's interest (and along with his kitty mama long previous, you're his mom now). He chats decrease back. He probable has the two have been given a dominant form of character or he's a mama's boy, the two of it is friendly and makes a large puppy. His sister is probable sweeter, quieter, and extra docile. this might nicely be a stable pairing. there is not any longer something unusual approximately it in any respect. You little male cat is a character. you will come to love him very plenty.

You can invest in cat toys (cat condo, climbing trees, etc) but Ive found some of the best toys...are free. Throw a safety seal to a milk jog on your kitchen floor. Get some large paper(NOT plastic) grocery bags, open them, and throw them on the floor. Sit some laundry baskets out,and put some sort of krinkly paper in the bottom (tissue paper), tie a feather to a shoe lace and let them drag it around while the other chases, get a big box, tape it shut, and cut a hole in the side, just big enough for the cats to get in and out, then some small holes along the bottom for a paw swipe when another kitten walks by outside the box, and a few other holes here and there for them to jump out of. Its like a cave, and they flock to them, they cant resist exploring whats inside! Other things you can buy that they enjoy...a scratching post, feather toys, plastic balls with bells inside, large circular plastic toy, with a plastic ball inside that spins freely.

Any kind of fluffy ball or toy; a simple piece of string; anything they can chase; a rustley cat tunnel (always a winner!).
You can't beat a cat tower. We have one with 2 platforms, a pedestal, a hammock, a ladder, a 'cat-cave' and 4 scratching posts. Our cats (from tiny kittens to 14 year olds) all play on it every day.
The best way to keep a cat or kitten happy and content, is to give it a lot of attention. That's why yours are seeking it from you...

If they like your attention, play with them as much as you have time for! They will grow up to be very sociable and attentive, and make wonderful companions their whole lives.
My cat, who is 3, has toys galore but prefers a few in particular - a stuffed fish on a working fishing pole, anything with feathers, rubber bands, pencils, milk rings and sport-style water bottle caps.
Buy them a toy or two, but give them lots of random stuff and see what they like. They'll probably play with the cheapies the most!

A pet laser light is wonderful for entertaining cats of all ages (just make sure you never shine it in their eyes!) and fun to watch them play and chase it.
PetSmart has some fun battery operated toys for cats that they have fun with.
Or the old standby, pulling a string/shoelace around.
Also there are pet videos that are really cool. I have a couple for my cats and they love them! They are either VHS or DVD (depending on what you have). They have birds, squirrels, mice, fish, etc. all with the real noises. My cats can sit forever and watch them! They go up to the TV and try to catch one or look behind the TV to see where they are. Check it out, they have a sample on the website. Here's a link for them: http://petsittervideos.com/index.html

different cats like different toys. i have two cats and they dont play w/ each others toys at all. For inexpensive stuff, most cats LOVE the ring from the cap of a milk carton. most cats love paper..any paper, newspaper, paper towels, toilet paper, wrapping paper.
cats also like a challenge, so those round toys that have a ball stuck inside the ring, can provide tons of entertainment.
some cats like soft surfaces to snuggle on, others like cisal or rough surfaces so they can claw.
you'll figure out what your cats like as their personalities develop.
i used to hang a wadded up plastic grocery bag by a string from a door, the cats would jump up at it and go crazy.
but a side note. kittens develop their sense of comfort with people at this age, so if you want really affectionate, fun adult cats, then you have to constantly pet & play with your kittens. if you start to ignore them now, when they ask for your attention, you may end up with an adult cat who doesnt like people or playing.
trust me when your kittens are full grown you'll be happy when they seek your attention. cats sleep about 18+ hours a day, so your time will become more limited as they get older and as they find their independence, as all cats do.
enjoy ur new kitties

Here's a good one...
Remember those cheap laser light pens that so called executives would use to point at stuff with? Well, get one of those (usually find them in Poundland or similar) and what in hysterics as you cute little kitties try to catch that little red dot. All from the comfort of your favourite arm chair.

trust me when i tell you that all you have to do is get boxes and plastic bags and let them play with it. i use to breed cats and when they were that age i would buy them toy and all they would want was the bag thet it came in. little kittens are just like little babies they just grow fster. and if those things dont work then just get things that makes weird noises. thats all that it takes. not much right.
