As a spouse, would you still love your husband / wife if they hired said service to "test" you?

(Note to Nighttime Literalists: This is a question about God, not about my own personal spouse.)

Nah, I'd tell him to kill our child if he really loved me. Then right as he tied down our son and was about to stab him through the heart, I'd tell him I was kidding and we'd live happily ever after. Well, after he sacrificed an animal to please me instead.

Frankly I am confused. Are you asking whether it is moral to test the faithfulness of God by hiring a PD or seduction service? Well God doesn't need to be faithful. He is not married and therefore it is on the people he is doing the naughty with to resist his advances. Which is more testing your faithfulness.

If you are indeed referring to your spouse. Has he/she given you some reason to be doubt their fidelity? Or are you just insecure? Personally, I would be offended, that my partner has such little trust in me that they would resort to such tactics rather than talking to me about it. Without trust, there cannot be love, so it could be the end.

I don't think it would be right. I don't know about it being moral. If you truly love him, why would you tempt him. There are enough women out here trying to get married men without adding fuel to the fire. I am sure my feelings (most definitely trust) would change if I found out my spouse tried to entrap me in such a manner. I not like it but in the end because I a faithful during whatever, at the end of the day, it would be futile. May God Bless U.

Elysia,

If I am reading correctly your question: Would God consider it moral to use a seduction service to "test" your spouse's faithfulness?

I do not think God would consider it moral and frankly neither do I. Those companies that supply that service are preying on the fears of people and the fallibility of normal people. None are perfect.

Would I use a service on my spouse - NO
Would she on me - NO

We have each made our mistakes and have fessed up to them to one another thoughout 30+ years of marriage. It was a bump in the road but we became stronger in our relationship because of it.

I wish I had thought about that. I just found out two weeks ago my husband had an affair. I should have done that before we got married and had three kids.

Gee, I can't answer for God...I can use the "rules" the men that claimed to know the mind of God to answer the question, but I really don't know what God would say.

To my understanding....God is the only true judge within Christianity. To "test" someone would be to do God's work in a sense....plus..it's really messed up to not trust someone like that. Setting them up for failure...shesh.

I would never do this to my husband, I would consider it disrespectful. If he did it to me, I would still love him, and I would pass the test! :)

EDIT - Once again, you are trying to hold God to your standards. It doesn't work that way.

Well, of course! I wouldn't want them to just know, I'd want them to know for SURE! Also, it would strengthen ME! Metal is always stronger when forged.
