My husband is in 1st Cav. outta Ft. Hood...they got deployed Oct. 2006..they will be back lets say Oct. /2007 - Jan /2008 and 4th ID just came back a few months ago... those are the only 2 there....and as of now there arent anymore deployments for Ft. Hood.. I know your orders dont tell you which unit..but when my husband and I got orders from Ga. to Fort Hood..4th ID was still deployed so he was put with 1st Cav..so more than likely you will be with 4th ID..and again..about 99% sure..no deployments anytime soon... Fort Hood has 2 main units, Cav which is in Iraq now and 4th ID which has been back about 8 months.. Good luck on this, thanks for being a Hero

If you know that you are going to a deploying unit, then surely you would have to know what unit it was or you wouldn't know you were deploying.
