The exact same reason that all of Egypt was saved from famine before Joseph's family even got there (in Genesis). God knew that Israel would reject their own Messiah for the short term, but by offering Salvation to non-Jews He is keeping the memory of His Son alive until the Jews are ready.
You are right that He is the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy, and that He was sent to the Jews. You are also correct that we were never promised salvation in the Old Testament (not directly anyway). Take another look at the OT and study the occasions where 2 brothers interact (like Jacob and Esau). One is always the firstborn, promised an inheritance, the other is promised next to nothing but ends up with the inheritance anyway. Look around, it's a recurring theme in the OT, and for a reason. Christianity is that reason.

You can stop at "once was a Christian". It is clear that you were never a Christian.
Jesus was the Jewish Messiah. There is no other type of Messiah. The four accounts tell of Jesus life, death, and resurrection.
Jesus is not the Gentile Messiah; the Gentiles (non Jews) have no messiah. If you read Acts and Paul's epistles you would know that.
As a person who rejects Christianity, you would not be a good source to explain it to anyone else.

Christ proved that he was the Messiah when he rose from the dead.
In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul explains in detail the importance of the resurrection of Christ. Some in Corinth did not believe in the resurrection of the dead, and in this chapter Paul gives six disastrous consequences if there were no resurrection: 1) preaching Christ would be senseless (v. 14); 2) faith in Christ would be useless (v. 14); 3) all the witnesses and preachers of the resurrection would be liars (v. 15); 4) no one would be redeemed from sin (v. 17); 5) all former believers would have perished (v.18); and 6) Christians would be the most pitiable people on the earth (v. 19). But Christ indeed has risen from the dead and “has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen sleep” (v. 20), assuring that we will follow Him in resurrection.

All they usually know is what their families think. So they think the same thing. They question nothing, in the end. Just like a turnips. Hohum, Cabbages.
I myself believe that the disciples were finally sent to the Gentiles because the Jews weren't going to fill up the seats available to the Jews before the show began. A limited number though -144,000 (each tribe got 12,000)
Who wants to go to Heaven anyway? I'm perfectly content with the lifespan I have now. I have no idea what life would be like there, and I hate being the 'new kid in town' all the time.
Mostly those xtians are scared of going to 'hell' , so they'll accept this 'heaven' business by default. (yawn) An exciting bunch, them.
Uh, Socrates gave his life for what he believed in, as have countless numbers of people. War is hell, huh?

Over 100 Old Testament prophecies about Messiah ALL fulfilled by Jesus. Not one of the prophecies made by Jesus has been false. Bodily resurrection witnessed by hundreds.

Jesus is our Messiah. He wasn't just sent to the Jews. He appeared to Peter in a vision and told him to preach the gospel to both Jews and Gentiles. His love is for everyone.

Jesus was promised to all people, not the Jews. If you remember right from all your Christian studies, the Jews crucified Jesus. Reread you Bible and ask God for understanding as you read

Christians KNOW Jesus is the Messiah, they don't think He is. As for allah...I don't know him...my God does not have the name allah.
You were a Christian you say, but you have know idea how Christ comes into play between the Jews and Gentiles? Christians are grafted in as God has commanded.
