The original idea was not to scare people, but to illustrate there is only so much time one has to make a determination on what to do with the person Jesus Christ. Eventually, whether the world ends in a fiery whatever or our simple physical death, Christians believe we all face God to answer the question concerning Jesus Christ. The point is the uncertainty of the timing of either, but the certainty that we all will perish. So, regardless of the end of the world or not, what will you do right now with the person Jesus Christ?

the guy who wrote the e book 'The Bible Code' challenged human beings to foretell issues interior the e book 'Moby Dick' employing his technique. Sceptics went off and did basically that, finding issues approximately Hitler and JFK, and so on. the author's reaction replaced into 'I meant, in the past they take place'. the element is, Moby Dick isn't meant to be divinely stimulated, inspite of the shown fact that it has sufficient letters to look consequences. Funnily sufficient, there is extra probability of finding them interior the bible besides by using fact the letters are hebrew, and a large type of have extra beneficial than one English equivalent, there are no longer any vowels interior the unique Hebrew, and the bible is relatively long.

Think about what you are saying here. Why would christians want to manipulate others with fear? What would we have to gain from this? Nothing. What we want to do is to make others aware of what's prophecized to come so that you might listen to God's warnings. It's love, not manipulation.

You know, the honest answer to this is both yes and no.
SOME people who say they are Christians end up propagating fear with their drive to "warn" people. Unfortunately, what they aren't realizing that, let's suppose for a moment they are right and the end IS truly near. Fear never made a person change in a healthy way. It only makes the person a slave to fear. Someone might stop smoking because they're afraid they're going to die and that is one form of making a technically right decision. However, if a person quits smoking because they love themselves, or their family, or their friends, or their life, or their God, then that's usually the decision that sticks and remains. Everything we do from love has strength in it, because God always backs up love!
There are of course SOME that motivate people about the end times and use this as a push to fill churches, and yes, some do it for things like collecting tithes and growing their church so that they can tell Jesus one day that they did all these things in His name. But the truth is, Jesus will say to them, but YOU I never knew! I never knew your heart. I was never able to really reach you and give you the words that came directly from my Father's heart for each specific person you were talking to. There was so much more our Father wanted to do!
And there are some who try to encourage people that the "end of the world" is near because they care. Because they see the fabric of society unravelling, and Jesus said, "When you see all of these things come to pass, look up (believe!) for then your redemption draweth nigh!" In other words, christians who fit this category are going around trying to reach people out of Love for their Father, and out of Love for all people. So that the people might have a hope. That yes, this world is going to end, but lies beyond is an eternity of glorious healing and love and never ending peace.
I personally believe it's only this last group who has the right attitude. The attitude should always be: "I don't know if when I walk away from you today how much longer you will live. I don't know if you are going to die a natural death, or if you will be in the rapture. But I know that no matter what your future holds, I want to tell you about Jesus. And not so you'll avoid hell, or the last days, or trials. But because Jesus LOVES you and can help you through EVERY trial you ever have. He loves you with a love so amazingly personal that He knows things about you that you haven't even yet admitted or seen for yourself. And He remembers every special thing about your heart from the moment you began to live until the very moment you enter in to eternity. And He's guarding those things in your heart zealously for He so GREATLY LOVES YOU." That's the only heart to minister in. I might have a stroke right after I hit "submit" tonight and slip through the door of eternity. I shouldn't be running around with a heart that says anything but, "Do you know how GREATLY you are LOVED by your God?" Only love in the end makes a difference, and changes a heart. Just like when we love a child, or love a mate. The RULES and THREATS don't make us change... LOVE is the only thing that makes us change so the changes last.

People will always say that , but if you really read it , all these final judgments is an act of love . It's his way of finally saying " Well , here I am , I'm telling you everything in advance of whats happening - will you follow me now ? " You have 7 years to decide if you survive them . I took all the Christians , Now it's your turn .................

Why should this be any different than any other situation? Guilt and fear have always been the tools of the "righteous".
