Bill Gates. That being said, entrepreneurs are the most likely to get rich. I was a software/system engineer and made good money just working for a regular company. My advice is go where you have a real interest, do a good job, and don't worry about whether another field would have made you richer, sooner.

chemical engineers have the greatest potential for higher wages especially in the petroleum and mining sectors. However electrical engineers have a starting salery which is slightly greater about $2000 more per year......
but in the long run chemical is the highest paid
