Female 1200. Male 1500. That and some exercise will go a long way to helping you trim down. A multi-vitamin would also be good for you.

Normal for males is 2000 but since you seem to be big I'd say if you are looking to lose weight you should eat 2500 calories a day to start. If you are female then I'd stick with 2000.

1500 -1800 to actually lose weight. 2,000 to maintain. 25-30 grams of fat to lose, 60 to maintain.
