I always tend to think of dreams that you remember as being 'significant' to your life, or being important enough that your mind will cause your body's biological functions to shift enough to cause you to become aware of them. In my experience, my awareness of my dreams fluctuate with the amount of stress and tension in my life. The more stress and tension, the more I tend to dream, and the more destructive they are.
It could be that the opposite is true for you: some people, under more stress, tend to remember their dreams less because the stress crowds out the mind's ability to retain information.
One's attitude towards dreaming can also affect their frequency. If you continuously have dreams that seem full of random nonsense, you can program yourself to 'ignore' it, thus making your ability to remember your dreams weaker.
Sometimes, interpreting (or getting an interpretation of) a dream you remember can stimulate your mind into producing more memories of them. If your mind feels that you are listening to it, it might feel free to dream more.
So many factors can be affecting this, it's really difficult to say, from so little information, what the culprit is. Like dreams, sometimes we have to do a little life interpretation in order to figure out why or why not our dreams are appearing when they are appearing. Good luck.

Sounds to me like you have you've gained balance to your life. That is, if dreams were just meant to help us adjust our daily life when we were resting.
Dreams seem to me to be a kind of meditating.
I keep having dreams and keep a notebook at my bedside that if I wake up I can write down immediately anything that occurred which I can remember. I got the idea reading a book called, "How to Make Your Dreams Work For You, by Dian Dincin Buchman."
Having the notebook there reminds me, as I am nodding off, to remember I want to review my dreams. So I record what I remember as soon as I wake up, and see for myself how my dreams work.

If you want to remember your dreams, the moment you wake up, grab a piece of paper and pencil and write it down before it escapes your memory.
Maybe you've been sleeping too well and you have no dreams, no worries, nithing is going to happen to you in life :]
I haven't been dreaming for a while, either. :]]
