This really isn't a question anyone can answer for you. It is something you and your parents have to discuss. More people will tell you what to do based on whether they think homeschooling or public schooling is better, rather than on your personal needs, kwim?

Depending on your school system you may have to take a test to see where you fit. After that, it's all up to the the school where you end up.

Sounds like you have had a bad experience with a school that didn't have the resources or the will to follow your IEP. If that's going to be a problem still, then you may want to consider if you want to place yourself in their hands all over again.

Does your system allow part time? I know our district allows you to take one or two courses during a year and still keep your homeschool status. If you could go part time, then maybe you would get the best of both worlds. Good luck!

Ok, I'm not trying to be a doctor here but are you on any medication??? There are medicines out there that can help calm your nerves and help with OCD. If this isn't a possibility then you need to think about whether or not you really enjoy homeschooling. You need to get a piece of paper and put the pros on one side and the cons on the other...weigh your options. If you do decide to go back to public school then remember that there's nothing wrong with changing your mind as long as your parents agree. Good luck sweetie

I have Dyslexia! But if you can do things straight, now that you've had the help you need, you should do what you need to to follow your dreams.

If you want to be convinced that homeschooling doesn't cramp your style/make college harder to get into or whatever, just say so, there are a lot of people on here with a wealth of information I'm sure they'd love to share.

In the end, whether you over think it or not, it's your decision. You can't do everything, so you have to pick one or the other. What feels best? If you can achieve your end goals in the setting that is most comfortable to you, do it. If not either go with the more uncomfortable way or change your goals.

This is going to sound like a dumb answer but go back if you want to. Do you enjoy being homeschooled? Or do you want to experience the public stream...?
I've never ever been homeschooled and I don't know how it exactly works but I like going to public school even though it's kinda irritating at times. People are pushy and mean and...well there are mostly nice ones but there are some that I just can't stand. Ugh. Oh and I'm a sophmore.
High school is pretty 'special' though. If you can get over your overthinking things thing (<---wow I'm not good at wording...) then go back. Dyslexia in school shouldn't be a problem at all.
Right? I'm not really good with these medically things. gahh.

I'd have a good talk with the high school you are looking at to see how it might work out for you. Get a clear understanding on your part of the demands that will be placed on you and also make sure they have a clear understanding of what things are like for you so that they can help you out as much as they can.

Once you've had that meeting (or series of meetings), then you will be better informed to make a decision. You'll also need to figure out why a part of you wants to go back and if actually going to school is the only way to meet that want.

Also, because of your OCD, do you see a therapist at all? If so, talk to your therapist about it.

In the end, you could always try it out and see how it goes. If it's a mess, then return to homeschooling.

No- Reason, Public Schools Cannot give you the attention that homeschool can.

Other alternatives, you can also check into Private Schooling in your area.

With Dyslexia, teachers in Public Schools are not equipted to assist you in your medical needs like your mom.

Only you truly can answer, however you asked for my opinion and I gave it with care. I am a Private Christian School Adminsitrator. I have had experience with ADHD and have one student that has dyslexia.

Regardless if your a freshman or not, Homeschool and Private Christian schools have so much to offer these days. Like Graduation, Prom, Night of Excellence, Sports... Your not missing anything by homeschooling. I also want to say that studies show most homeschooled students excell high above the public school student. See my sources...

First talk to your parents about this. If you are see professionals about your OCD talk to them as well. If you still think you might like to re-enroll in public school then also talk to the people in the school you would attend. The school is, by law, required to follow your IEP. And dealing with your OCD should be part of that plan. If you do go back to ps and they don't follow your plan, continually talk to the people on your team at school and have your parents make lots of phone calls about the issues too. Before you make any decisions, you should also think about *why* you may want to go back to ps - and make sure that going back to ps will fill this need (and/or is the best way to fill the need.) If your desire to return involves any sort of social involvement then there are probably MANY better ways to fill the void.

HTH!

Yes, you will have to take some kind of placement test to go back to school. Most hs'ers would score way above average.

I thought glurpy's answer was really good. You are going to have to consider the pros and cons here, also decide if you are ready for this move. If you are on medication and are still having probs at home, then I am just thinking that you would be under more stress at school and things would get worse.

the place i'm from public training isn't very solid so in case you desire a solid training you are able to desire to attend to a private one. yet this quite relies upon, some public faculties are very solid and a few are very undesirable, only as some inner maximum faculties are very solid and others very undesirable.
