I'm treated the same as men because there are strict policies about harassment and work ethics. I'm a supervisor and have 11 guys working for me and they treat me well as I do to them.
Unless you "put yourself" out there so to speak....there is no problems.
I've been in 19 years and I love it. Wouldn't have changed a thing

They actually are treated better or given a lot of slack.
My honest opinion? I think women have no business on CERTAIN positions in the military. I saw it with my own eyes, woman NOT being able to hold their own. I can't say it was fair for the men. They had to do double the work went put to work with their female counterparts.
Here's an example: In a ship of 420 men. You really don't have the manpower of 420. On a 3 to 1 men to women ratio you now have 360 man power.....not an exact science but you get the picture, right?!
Not to mention the fraternization (affairs, f-buddies) that went on....a constant distraction for the men. Unbelievable.
I say woman in the military should stay off the war theater and ships, all together.

In a way women are treated like royalty lol. They aren't held up to the same standards as men. They can run slower and do less work if they choose to. And if they don't like a male they can always accuse him or sexual harassment and that male is screwed. However, some males dont think of females as equals soooo it depends on how you look at it. I can say this. Women are treated great compared to other jobs because you don't have to worry about sexual harassment.

From my time in the Air Force (with five years of Army support with III Corps), I'd have to say slightly better then equal. Even the hint of sexual discrimination is a career ender so most male officers/NCOs are afraid to treat the genders equally but there are plenty of female officers/NCOs that aren't and getting the job done is still priority number one.

Depending on the situation they are treated better or worse than men. Sometimes men are treated better or worse. In my experience, when a woman tries to get out of hard work she succeeds often. Its wrong but accepted.

Depends on which branch. When I was in the Marine Corps most of the women acted as if they had the world to prove which led to their own division from the rest of the units.

Women often times are better and treated better in the armed
forces because of their attention to details. They often times feel that they have more to prove.

In my son's unit, they are treated the same. Sometimes a little better - erring on side of caution.
