I was cheated on in the past by my ex girlfriend, and my now girlfriend has told me that she cheated in the past. But this was years ago, like 3-4 and she was only around 12 yrs old. All they did was kiss and she deeply regrets it and would not want that guilt again. She is 16 now and it was a thing of the past and not a serious relationship. She didn't even consider it a real relationship because they were off and on and so young. and i was wondering why i feel so hurt. She didn't cheat on me, why do I feel so hurt and down? I need help!

let me clarify, she didnt cheat on me, she cheated on her now ex boyfriend.

Yes, you do need help. She has been very straightforward with her and it sounds like you are holding her past decisions against her. It had nothing to do with you - you need to let it go and get over the fact that SOMEONE ELSE cheated on you. If you can't get past it, you're going to blow this relationship. You will end up mistreating her if you don't let it go.

If this is the same girl you referred to in your other question that simply kissed a guy in the 8th grade and you're all wierded out about it. As near as I can determine, nobody cheated on anybody, you have no right to be hurt and you definitely don't need to be making her feel guilty. Sit down and think about why it upsets you and then get over it. Give the girl a break.

for one she was a meer child. at 12 u cant b held accountable for something like that. move on . get over it. I could see if u was 16 n it happened. but she wasnt. see now she is 16 n if she cheats on u then dump her. its not like u will stay with her from now til ur older n married n have kids. ull go thru so many girls b4 u settle down. it just seems like ull b together forever when ur young. is all ..its ok we all thought the same thing at ur age. let it go ..

omg, get a grip. how exactly does one "cheat" at the age of 12?? How are you "off and on" at the age of 12? You are in for a long, hard life if you take something so miniscule and make a huge deal out of it.

its normal you feel down cause you worry it will happen to you. but past is the past and if she is honest and truly regret and loves you,you should not worry about it. just keep an eye open in case ;)
