If it hangs from a stem, and has a seed or seeds it is a fruit (e.g., walnut). If it grows on a vine it is a berry (e.g., watermelon, tomato, pumpkin).
If it grows underground it is a root (carrot) or a tuber ('tater) (except for the peanut, which is a legume, and the African underground melon, of course).
If it is green and leafy, (and does not not fit the categories above) it is a vegetable (rhubarb).
Sucrose content does not determine its categorization, but it does increase its likelihood of desire.

That's hard! I really like both too!
I LOVE:
roasted or steamed asparagus
cucumbers (on my sandwich or cust plain slices)
tomaotes!
apples
oranges
grapes
berries (rasp, blue, boysen,straw)
pineapple
broccoli
carrots
potatoes
bell pepper (again, in my sandwiches!)
spinach
I loove them both! very yummy!
