And what do you suppose MLK said to all those women he bedded while he was alive and held the power he held? This man does not belong up on a pedestal anymore than anyone else. But the press won't talk about the fact that he was a womanizer will they, no they make him out to be the best thing since sliced bread. NOT No man or woman is above any other and we should stop putting them on pedestals because they always fall off anyway.

Because it does not mean literally. What this point of view is saying, is that you take an important, irreplaceable, part of yourself, in exchange for an equally important part. When this biblical saying originated, man didn't have the means to replace sight, or do dentistry. So removing sight and teeth was a punishment in those early days. It rendered the person either blind, or unable to eat. Therefore losing these valueable parts of your anatomy, usually led to death.Nowadays the expression relates to acts.We put away murderers and rapists, and bad people. Perhaps we should just blind them, and de-tooth them?

That is the same "law" of YOU reap what YOU sow.., or you harvest what you plan..., or you get what you give.., or the law of physics that says for every action there is an opposite and equal reaction. It is not an ideology.
Yea, blind and toothless unless you can come out from under law and LIVE BY GRACE.., through our LORD Jesus Christ.
