tie I guess your talking about a male and female mating should only be done two to three times at the most you should look this info up on the net and do not breed unwanted animals until you know what you are doing

I'm not a breeder, but do know a little bit from my breeder freinds. Do you know that dogs can become pregnant by several dogs in the same breeding cycle, or the same dog multiple times.
SO - I don't know if you are asking about ties in one day or over the course of several days. You shouldn't the dogs breed over an extended period of time because suppose female takes on the first day and you continue to let them mate for more than 2-3 days. It is possible for the dog to become pregnant on the 1st day and then say...the 5 day. The dog will go into labor from the first breeding and the poor 5 day old puppies will whelp as well, being undersized and in not the best of health since they weren't in there long enough!
As far as how many times in the same day - I don't know.

that depends on the dogs and more than one male as well.
there is no such thing as to much but if it takes more than once sometimes teh younger ones don't survive.
i hope yo know what you are getting into and plan on spending money. check the laws in your area for selling any pups
A lot of places want the vet to give shots and wornings where I live a litter of 2-3 pups which is normal will cost me over $150 and then the food and all to raise the pups and hope she doesn't need a c-section.
I hope you studdies as the male determines th size and you can't look at him and her you need to go back 2-3 genterations. if your male is a runt and small did he come from larger stock and if so plan a c-section.

I let mine mate 2 times one day and 2 times the next day. If you leave them together throughout the entire heat, some of the puppies will be born premature from the later breedings.
