Do you think it's "right" that Jehova's came to my door?

I have been working graveyards for 5 consecutive nights and on the 5th morning, Jehova's came knocking at my door at 9 am-what the heck!!! I mean they can do what they want-preach out in the streets for all I care, don't knock at my door-I pay the rent...Do you agree? If not, why?

Well Did you tell them that? Hang up a NO TRESPASSING sign and then they will be trespassing and you can have the cops escort them off your door. But since your door is public way of knocking then anyone one who wants to see you or leave a package has to knock at your door. I would say No I don't agree with you and you pay the rent thing but I do sympathize with you on the graveyard shift but mine was the phone and everyone thinking OH she is at home she can watch little Johnny or she can do this for me while I am working.LOL

I can understand why the knocking at that time was upsetting, but if it had been someone else would you be as upset?

As long as they are respectable and leave when asked, then I don't see a problem. Perhaps you can put a note on the door or something and then no one will knock and wake you up.

I understand you being upset, but they reason they come is because it is a commandment by God. Im sure that if you answered your door & told them that you work nights, they made sure to right that down as a reminder, so that next time they wont come during the time you sleep. They are very understanding & do not like to offend or upset anyone, but they have to follow the commandments given to them. Sometimes all a person has to say to them is "Im not interested"...if thats how you really feel, instead of not answering the door. It saves them time from coming back when they can focus on others who might want to speak with them.

You need to post a sign on your door for everyone not to knock during your sleeping hours. But 9 is too early for anyone to come knock. I don't care who they are. But 9-5 is generaly business hours so legally they are not wrong unless you have no soliciting on your door, but morally they are very wrong.

But honestly I love when JWs come by. I am Muslim and I tell them they can talk as long as for every thing they tell me about their faith I can tell them something about mine. I also ask a lot of hard questions they can not answer. It is a great advantage having studied all faiths. You know all the weakness.

Well, they mean you no harm. They are not aware that they are under an illusion and the great Jehovah is not god at all. Jehovah is an alien. He had great technology and was able to fool the mass of humanity at the time into thinking he was god.

God is not a man. Fools believe such nonsense.

((If it were me, I would come to the door bucked naked just once and see what they do. Or you could put your 666 welcome mat on the front door step. If that doesn't work get the water hose after them.)) These are just humorus ideas.

In reality. I have only had this happen once. At the time I didn't even know what they were. I said "So what you witnessed Jehovah, I've seen UFO's" They went away without a word and never returned. The thing was, I wasn't even trying to be mean, I was telling the truth. Good luck.

A very simple solution would be to put a note on your door saying that you are sleeping and do not want to be disturbed.
If they ring your bell or knock on your door after that then call the police.

Seriously,they should use a little better judgement..However misguided that I believe them to be(actually,the Watchtower Bible and tract Society),they really mean well. Just tell them that you are not interested,please take me off of your list.

The best way to learn what to do to stop JWs is to contact a synagogue and talk to the Rabbi.

Ask him how the ancient Jews got rid of the Christian Jews when they went from house to house telling their brethren that the beliefs, rituals, and holiday observances that they have followed for hundreds of years was no longer valid?

I’m sure they had ways to get rid of the Jews, who from their point of view, was a cult started by a Uneducated, Jewish Lower Class Carpenter, who was executed for cause by the governing authority. The only education he got was from his low class parents, Mary and Joseph. These followers were also uneducated Jewish lower class individuals, such as Peter, a failed fisherman, and Matthew, a hated tax collector.

Lacking any kind of education, let alone advance religious education, it was clear they were easily brainwashed into believing that the uneducated ex-carpenter was somehow the Messiah, which was clearly false as it was commonly known that when the Messiah came, he would destroy (Armageddon) the enemies of the true people of God, as foretold.

Saul of Tarsus, a highly educated individual in the religious arts, repeatedly proved they were a false religious sect and cult, creating their own scriptures (Bible) instead of relying on the Holy Torah, which had been used by the Jews for hundreds of years. Saul often stood by as the true believers of God stoned these so-called Christians for their door to door activities and spreading of false doctrine.

Now, I would not recommend stoning, but they may have had other methods that worked to stop the house to house work and the spreading of false doctrine . What worked for them against the Christian cult may work against the JWs. At least you will be in good company in doing so.

Just call the Kingdom Hall and ask that your address be put on the back of territory card listing of no call addresses. At this point, they check back only every six months.

Of course, you already knew that, you just wanted to collect a bunch of anti-JW comments from people, like the sexual deviants who say to answer the door naked. I don't know about Canada, but in the U.S., if a neighbor's child were to see that, you would be looking at a sex offense change, with automatic registry, whether found guilty or not.

I talked to them once - and I found out why they go door to door. Their religion teaches that JW is the truth - the only truth and the only way to eternal life. These people do not go door to door day after day to aggravate others, they do it because they believe it to be their God given duty to teach others the truth. They honestly want you to be on Paradise Earth with them. The lady that came to my door was well spoken, intelligent and warm. She does it because she wants to save souls.
